The inaugural ceremony of the textbook program in the natural environment is on Saturday

On the occasion of Mujib’s centenary celebrations, the private voluntary development organization Onnochitra Bangladesh’s unique initiative is going to be officially inaugurated at Onsambal Muktamancha in Kacharighat on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 3 pm as part of the textbook program in natural environment.

The inaugural event was presided over by Rebecca Sultana, Honorary Executive Director of Onnochitra Bangladesh and President of Onnochitra Model Library Kazi Nazrul Islam University Vice-Chancellor Prof. AHM Mostafizur Rahman, Chief Guest Mymensingh City Corporation Mayor Md. Ikramul Haque Titu, Special Guest Mymensingh District Superintendent of Police Md. Ahmar Uzzaman (PPM Service), Kazi Nazrul Islam University Vice-Chancellor Prof. AHM Mostafizur Rahman Registrar (Acting) Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir, eminent researcher and essayist Swapan Dhar, President of Mymensingh District Bangabandhu Foundation Kazi Azad Jahan Shamim, President of Mymensingh District Bangabandhu Recitation Council Advocate Imdadul Haque Selim will be present.

Abul Munsur, President of Unsamble Theater and a prominent playwright, will give a welcome speech on the occasion. Asaduzzaman Rubel, General Secretary of Onsamble Theater will recite a poem written about the Father of the Nation.

Commenting on the opening ceremony, Imon Sarkar, chief coordinator of Onnochitra Bangladesh and general secretary of Onnochitra Model Pathagoor, said, “I like reading books. Today’s kids don’t take books in hand, they love devices. I want to make today’s children realize how beautiful the smell of the book’s pages is. That is why our library is a unique initiative. We think we will have a nice time with nature in the open air of the river while sitting close to nature with this book. Every member of the Onnochitra family is working day and night to make the small range event a success. We welcome men and women of all ages to enjoy reading.
